COVID -19 aka Coronavirus has claimed many lives including that of the Pride of Cameroon and African legendary saxophonist/vibraphonist, Manu Dibango. He died in Paris, France on Tuesday, March 24th at age 86. Dibango’s music genre ranges from African Rumba, afrofunk, afrobeat, jazz and of course Makossa. He was best known for his 1972 hit song, “Soul Makossa”.
